Grandpa Harvey Visits

Grandpa Harvey left yesterday for the second time this summer.  He had come for the first time for Jared's birthday and to see some of the boys Baseball games.  While he was here we went to the outdoor symphony and hiked Hemlock Bluff a number of times.

Though he has slowed down a bit, this was staged at his request :-)

When he saw all the ways he could help us around the house, he came back a second time to help with various projects around the house.  My personal favorite being the moving of our outdoor faucet from an inaccessible area behind the bushes,to the perfect sport next to the driveway and garage.  We would have never thought of hiring someone to do that and they would have never let the boys join in the process like Grandpa did.

We finished out his visit on Sunday with an enjoyable walk around Bass Lake Park.  This began the first three miles our family goal to walk 100 miles in parks over the next year.
